Platforms We Build On
MetaTrader 5 and MQL5 are the center of what we do. Our developers live in this stack daily: the compiler, the Strategy Tester internals, the Trade transaction API, netting vs hedging account models, custom symbol feeds, and the MQL5 community ecosystem's conventions and pitfalls.
Overview
MT5's multicurrency tester, real-tick modeling, and native Python integration make it the strongest retail-adjacent automation platform available. That said, it punishes sloppy code — silent order failures, buffer recalculation errors, and tester-vs-live divergence are the three bug families we spend most of our debugging time on, and we build to avoid them from the first commit.
If you came here to hire an MQL5 developer, you're in the right place: browse what this team builds on the platform — or send your brief and get a fixed quote first.
Scope
Concrete deliverables, not a capability list. Every item below is scoped in writing before a fixed quote is issued.
Full trading robots — hedging and netting aware — with robust order handling, input design, and tester-ready builds. See expert advisor development.
Overlays, oscillators, dashboards with stable buffers and iCustom contracts documented. See custom indicator development.
Execution panels, position managers, and account dashboards built on MQL5 chart objects and events.
Real tick data setup, custom optimization criteria via OnTester, walk-forward harnesses. See strategy optimization.
MQL5 WebRequest bridges, Python MetaTrader5 package, Copy Services, and Signals ecosystem work.
Example scopes
Anonymized project briefs in the shape real requests arrive — platform, fixed quote, and timeline agreed before work starts.
MQL5 (MQL5 Community API, standard library, or raw trade-object code — chosen per project), MetaEditor toolchain, MT5 terminal versions tracked against broker rollouts, tested across hedging and netting account types.
MT4→MT5 is our most common conversion: order-model rewrite, netting-aware position logic, and identical-buffer indicator ports so dependent code keeps working. We also migrate off MT5 to cTrader when a client's needs outgrow the platform.
No-assert-restart shipping standard (EAs handle errors, don't crash), order-state reconciliation on every event path, and documented input parameters — code your future maintainer can read.

Compare two platforms
Documented platform properties — the ones that decide where a strategy can actually live.
| Property | MT5 / MQL5 | cTrader / cAlgo |
|---|---|---|
| Language | MQL5 (C++-like, object-oriented) | C# on .NET |
| Account model | Netting or hedging, per account | Hedging, with level-II depth |
| Backtesting | Real-tick multi-symbol, multi-threaded, genetic optimizer | Tick-data backtests with visual mode and optimization |
| Runs on | Broker terminal + VPS | cTrader desktop, web, or cTrader Automate cloud |
| Strongest at | The broadest broker coverage with a modern tester and full order-model control. | A real language and toolchain, plus depth-of-market data most retail platforms hide. |
| Where it bites | Hedging vs netting changes position handling, so ported MT4 logic needs rewriting rather than translating. | Far fewer brokers offer it, which constrains where the account can live. |
Migrating between two of these is a rewrite, not a translation — the account and order models differ. We verify ported behaviour side by side before handover.
Pricing guidance
How budgets map to scope on this service. Your exact fixed quote arrives in writing after a scoping conversation — the numbers below are directional ranges, not promises.
| Scope | Typical range (USD) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Indicators & small utilities | $250 – $1,500 | 3–10 days |
| Expert Advisors | $400 – $3,000 | 1–4 weeks |
| Systems, panels & conversions | $700 – $5,000 | 2–6 weeks |
MT5 project pricing follows the service pages: indicators from ~$250, EAs from ~$400, complex systems to five figures. Every quote is fixed after scoping. Explore the services below or request a quote directly.
